In situ investigation on selenization kinetics of Cu–In precursor using time-resolved, high temperature X-ray diffraction

چکیده
In situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction was used to investigate the reaction mechanism and kinetics of a-CuInSe2 formation from Cu–In precursors during selenization. The precursor films were deposited in a migration-enhanced molecular beam epitaxial reactor on Mo-coated thin glass substrates. During the selenization, the formation of CuSe was observed, followed by its transformation to CuSe2 at higher temperature. The formation of a-CuInSe2 was initiated at a temperature between 250 and 300 1C. Additionally, the production of MoSe2 was clearly detected at temperatures above 440 1C. The reaction kinetics were analyzed using both the Avrami and parabolic rate models to estimate diffusion-limited activation energies of 124 (719) and 100 (714) kJ/mol, respectively. r 2006 Elsevier B.V. متن کاملReal-time observation of Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 solar cell absorber layer formation from nanoparticle precursors.
The selenization of Cu-Zn-Sn-S nanocrystals is a promising route for the fabrication of low-cost thin film solar cells. However, the reaction pathway of this process is not completely understood. Here, the evolution of phase formation, grain size, and elemental distributions is investigated during the selenization of Cu-Zn-Sn-S nanoparticle precursor thin films by synchrotron-based in situ ener...
متن کاملIn Situ and Time Resolved Synchrotron X-ray Diffraction Investigation of Solvothermal Synthesis of Mesoporous TiO2 Beads
Mesoporous anatase (TiO2) beads are superior electrode materials for high performance dye‐sensitized solar cells, producing greater than 10% solar to electric power conversion efficiency. Efficient solvothermal synthesis routes for mesoporous anatase beads may be developed by better understanding the reaction mechanism and kinetics. In this study, a series of in situ and time resolved X‐ray dif...
متن کاملHIGH-TEMPERATURE X-RAY DIFFRACTION STUDY OF PHASE EVOLUTION IN Ba2YCu3O6+x FILMS USING THE “BaF2 CONVERSION PROCESS”
In-situ high-temperature x-ray diffraction (HTXRD) was used to study the phase formation and reaction kinetics of the Ba2YCu3O6+x (Y-213) phase using the ex-situ “BaF2 conversion process”. Three sets of films on single crystal SrTiO3 substrates were prepared using the e-beam coevaporation technique of BaF2, Y and Cu targets. HTXRD studies were conducted on precursor films with thicknesses of 0....
متن کاملCharacterization of Copper-Manganese Oxide Catalysts and Their Precursors: Effect of Precipitate Aging upon the Structure and Morphology of Precursors and Catalysts
Copper-manganese oxide catalysts are prepared with an atomic ratio of Cu/Mn=2/1 using a coprecipitation procedure under air atmosphere. The time of aging, i.e., the time that precipitate remains in contact with the precipitating medium, has been varied from 0 (for unaged precursor) to 300 minutes and the effect of precipitate aging time in each atmosphere upon the structure and morphology of di...
